It’s called circumcision. It is done with either a knife (scalpel) or scissors. Basically about an inch long section of skin is cut from the shaft of the penis starting about 12 cm back from the head. After this section of skin is removed the cut ends are sewed back together. Look at anyone who has been circumcised and you can tell by the color change about an inch behind the head where the parts were sewed back together. This operation is common in the US. Most European men are uncircumcised unless their religion demands it. Despite what you may have heard, there is usually no medical reason for circumcision. It started in the US when some religious fanatics (nuts) preached that masturbation was the greatest sin that could be performed and circumcision was the only way to prevent it. Naturally, circumcision makes masturbation more difficult but it certainly doesn’t prevent it.
